Moira Creedon

After 5 years as Senior Finance Specialist at the Irish Management Institute, Moira established an independent business - Artemis Consulting - in October 2005 to offer financial advice and training to organisations in Ireland and in several other continents.

Ms Creedon is Lead Finance Faculty at Management Centre Europe in Brussels, a business school and training provider operating through Europe, Asia and the Middle East. She delivers financial training to management of European companies, from start-ups to multinationals.

Recent corporate clients include Sony Ericsson, AP Moeller, CRH, Tyco Healthcare, Toyota Europe, Amadeus, Solvay Chemicals, Sanofi-Aventis and many others. As lead Finance Faculty Moira designs the standard MCE finance programmes at junior through to advanced level for global roll out by MCE faculty.

Other ongoing lecturing assignments include:

  • University of Limerick: MSc in Financial services, Modules on Integrated risk management, Political Risk Management in emerging economies and Corporate Governance risk
  • Irish Management Institute: Diploma in Business Finance - ongoing co design and delivery of year long programme on financial management aimed at senior managers and owner entrepreneurs
  • Enterprise Ireland: second roll out of 18 day tailored finance programme specifically designed to improve the quality of financial analysis and decision making within Enterprise Ireland itself.
  • Here-know Cyprus: Treasury Management, and Valuation Seminars for senior management from banking and fund management sector

Apart from financial training, Artemis consulting has carried out a wide range of other assignments related to Foreign Direct Investment consultancy. These include a 3 year project for the Irish National Competitiveness Council monitoring the ongoing cost competitiveness of business in Ireland Vs competitors in 10 overseas competing countries, and lecturing in Laos to ASEAN Governments on how to marry the Celtic and Asian Tigers to achieve economic growth.

Previously as Director of International Development Ireland, Moira directed international consultancy projects for the World Bank and European Union in Southern African, Central American and former Soviet Union countries. The primary focus of this work was economic regeneration through development of the private sector - including both major training projects, and attraction of foreign direct investment.

After working as senior financial manager on overseas investments and acquisitions for General Motors in developing economies, she managed an International Mergers and Acquisitions team for Dresdner Kleinwort Benson in London, focussing on mergers in engineering, aviation and automotive clients.

Moira holds an MBA from IESE Barcelona, after an under graduate degree in Mathematics. She lectures and trains in Spanish, French and German as well as English.
